Dr. Lorne Alan Babiuk is a member of the European Academy of Sciences, a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, former vice-president of research at the University of Alberta, and former director of the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization at the University of Saskatchewan.
Dr. Lorne Alan Babiuk is a global authority on immunology, pathogenesis, virology, molecular virology and vaccinology, having published more than 500 papers and trained more than 100 PhD and postdoctoral fellows.
He has received honors and awards such as the Saskatchewan order of Merit, Officer of the Order of Canada and the Gairdner Foundation Whiteman Award.
