Dr. Ma Lan received her PhD degree from the University of North Carolina in 1990 and conducted post-doctoral research at the University of North Carolina from 1991 to 1993 and at the Bayer Pharmaceutical Research Center from 1993 to 1995. She has been the Director of the Center for Pharmacological Research at Fudan University since November 2003, and the Director of the Institute of Brain Science at Fudan University since July 2008, and was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in November 2019.
